Swift Fuels Joins San Martin Airport Food Truck Fly-In as Scholarship Sponsor

The San Martin Airport Food Truck Fly-In will return for its sixth year on Saturday, October 17, bringing aircraft, food trucks, live entertainment, classic and exotic cars, and family-friendly aviation activities to San Martin Airport (E16).

This year, the Fly-In is welcoming Swift Fuels as a premier sponsor. The Indiana-based aviation fuel company will sponsor one of the event’s $3,000 aviation scholarships, supporting local students pursuing a future in aviation.

Swift Fuels will also bring its Cirrus SR22T turbocharged aircraft to San Martin Airport for display during the event. The aircraft will make the trip from the company’s Indiana headquarters to California powered by Swift 100R, the company’s unleaded high-octane aviation fuel.

Their arrival at the event will give attendees an opportunity to learn more about an unleaded fuel long awaited by the general aviation community as the industry works toward eliminating lead from aviation gasoline.

Now in its sixth year, the San Martin Airport Food Truck Fly-In is a free community event designed to introduce the public to aviation and showcase the value of the local airport. The event features aircraft demonstrations and static displays, morning tethered hot air balloon rides (weather permitting), skydiving and RC aircraft demonstrations, a classic and exotic car show, live music, local food trucks and vendors, a kid’s zone, a silent auction, and the presentation of aviation scholarships to local students.

Proceeds from the event support aviation scholarships and programs that help local students pursue careers in aviation.
